Challenge Extension Readings
The following texts are related, thematically or historically, to our 1st semester in Hum 10. Check out a copy from the Durango Public Library or speak with Matt to see if there is a copy at school that you could use first.
To receive credit for a CE using a CE reading, integrate the text into one of the portfolio pieces you submit for the quarterly grading conference.
Note that you can choose your own CE text, but discuss your choice with Matt first so that he can determine if it will fit with the content and level of difficulty needed for it to be a good supplement to this project.
As always you can read whatever text you like for Independent Reading time and integrate that into a piece of your portfolio writing, but for it to be listed as a CE, it must be approved by Matt, so that he verifies that it is indeed challenging you individually to grow and learn at a level that is higher than where you are currently.
